Jeff from Back9Fitness.com Chimes In...
Jeff Banaszak of Back9Fitness.com wrote in this week, in his first official installment for PatPerezGolf.com.
"One of the great aspects of my job as a physical therapist traveling on the TOUR, is finding the gadgets to make my job easier. One such item is called the Vibracussor. I have been personally using this item for over a year now with tremendous results.
The Vibracussor is an instrument about the size of a hand-held drill. Besides preventing wear-n-tear on my hands this device has increased the efficiency of the hands-on services I provide to players.
Once placed on the body, this device provides mechanical compression at different frequencies that can be applied to various restrictions throughout the body.
For golf, this device is a great asset that allows the therapist to specifically target tight tissues that may be dictating movement within the individuals golf swing. Besides targeting tight tissues, the benefits of mechanical compressive therapy include stimulation of body proprioceptors.
Prioprioceptors are specialized cells found within joints and muscles that when activated help protect and improve function. By stimulating the proprioceptors, the therapist can activate a particular muscle needed to control posture, balance and strength.
I currently use this device with TOUR Pros including Pat Perez, Tommy Armour III and John Cook."
